Slovenia Reports New H5 Bird Flu Cases

 20 February 2006 | 13:31 | FOCUS News Agency

Ljubljana. Slovenia’s Veterinary-Medical Service announced that the H5 bird flu virus was found in other four swans, Montenegrin agency MINA told FOCUS News Agency. The swans were found near the northern border city of Maribor. Samples of the birds won’t be sent for additional tests to the British reference laboratory because the existence of H5N1 strain had already been confirmed in the area.
